At Smart Start, we look to accommodate our parents and their varying needs.  We have gotten many requests for a core day program for your children.  This would include a morning program that allows your child to engage with others and benefit from a structured routine, while still being able to spend quality time at home with you after school.  This will enable them to get ready for school and build confidence in interacting with their peers and teachers allowing for a smooth transition into kindergarten.

We are introducing a program that is offered to children between ages of 2 1/2 to 4 years from 9 am to 2:30pm (including lunch) Monday through Friday with the exception of Statutory holidays. This program also is available for 3 or 5 days a week.

The program is child-directed and theme based for that week. The program will include circle time, small group activities and hands-on learning centres designed to encourage growth in all areas of child development. It will focus on literacy, mathematics, art, drama, science and sensory.

Circle time will focus on learning through stories, music, movement.  Children will have the benefit of a short outdoor gross motor period as well.
